One of my ‘hobbies’ and interests is Theatre Lighting, Yes when i go to the Theatre I spend more time looking at the lighting rig than the show itself.

Theatre Lighting

I’m lucky enough to do the lighting for a number of shows, namely the Ipswich Gang Show, which is held at Ipswich School’s Theatre every Easter and the Claydon Players Panto held at Claydon Village Hall in January. For these Shows I design, programme, setup, and operate the lighting rig.

I have a lot of my own equipment, miles of cabling and lots of ‘stuff’. Most of my kit is DMX controlled and to control this I use Chamsys “MagicQ PC” Software, which is very easy to use, incredibly powerful and whats more, it’s FREE!

Other shows I’ve been invalid with include; Rugby Club Concert Nights, Stage crew for the Co-OP Juniors and Quiz/Party Nights.
